Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen – Ketsubetsu-tan Episode 3
Title:The Fundamental Virulence
Synopsis / Review:
The playful exchange between Urahara and Mayuri is enjoyable, though it’s clear that Urahara is the one teasing Mayuri. Mayuri’s appearance in his serious golden attire was oddly amusing. Urahara’s return to the Soul Society comes with a significant discovery: the black pill that can help those who have lost their bankai regain their rightful power, while also rendering the portion possessed by the sternritters harmful.
Witnessing Soi Fon effortlessly dispatch a sternritter with her bankai was truly impressive. However, the highlight arrived when Toshirou unleashed the full might of Hyorinmaru, sending Cang Du flying. This moment was reminiscent of classic Bleach scenes, accompanied by the well-known OST. The transitions felt smooth this time, enhancing the viewing experience. Unexpectedly, Shinji’s bankai, Sakashima Yokoshima Happofusagari, made an appearance. Even though the scene was brief, it was the episode’s standout moment.
Unfortunately, Shinji’s bankai scene was short-lived, as he swiftly moved on to confront Bambietta. This upcoming battle holds a lot of promise. Before that showdown, a reminder surfaces that not everyone has been defeated yet. Yhwach’s last-minute maneuver adds an element of unpredictability.
The episode concludes with another cliffhanger featuring Ichigo, leaving viewers eager for his return.
